Jessica Sierra, born on November 11, 1985 in Tampa, Florida, had her first taste of public performance when she joined the “Star Search” at age 17. She then tried her luck at American Idol for its second season, but didn’t make the cut. Two years later, Jessica Sierra came back to the 2004 Idol and eventually made it to the Top 12. Through her journey to the finals, Sierra has been regarded by Simon Cowell as one of the strongest female vocalists in season 4. Although she was third to be eliminated in the finals, Jessica Sierra joined the 44-city U.S. tour and performed at the Coca-Cola 600 and Simon Mall tour. In 2005, her cover of “Total Eclipse of the Heart” was included in the gold-certified album “The American Idol Showstoppers,” which featured a song for each of the 12 season 4 finalists.

When the Idol tour ended, Jessica Sierra focused on her solo career, traveling around the world from Kazakhstan to Kuwait, Iraq and back to the United States. She has performed on various occasions and corporate events for brands like Kellogg’s and Edy’s Ice Cream. In 2006, Jessica Sierra was featured on TV Guide’s “Idol Tonight,” appeared on OK! Magazine and released a song for Toys “R” Us called “Unbroken.” That same year, Jessica Sierra dated fellow Idol 4 contestant Nikki Smith, but broke up several months later. In 2007, her song “Unbroken” was released on the Sony/BMG compilation CD entitled “Four Star Hits,” which was released on iTunes. That same year, she joined the reality TV show “Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew.” On January 2008, Jessica Sierra’s EP “Deepest Secret” was released on Amazon.com, iTunes and Rhapsody, followed by her video for the song “Unbroken” three months later.

Jessica Sierra is a spokesperson for the National Stalking Resource Center of the U.S. Department of Justice, promoting awareness of the risks of stalking in a national campaign.
